Biography

Dr. Jöstingmeier studied physics in Würzburg (Germany) and Grenoble (France). After his diploma he worked at the University of Würzburg on the field of condensed matter physics, where he focussed on the description of the high-temperature superconductors. As a side product Dr. Jöstingmeier became an expert also on supercomputing. He is familiar with up to date Quantum-Monte-Carlo and diagonalization techniques. He gained practical work experience in the chemical industry, focussing on caoutchouc, composition-rubber polymers and thermoplastics and the application of these materials in gaskets.

PhD-thesis on the competition of superconductivity, antiferromagnetism and charge-order in the high-temperature superconductors.

Diploma in Physics, 2000, Bavarian Julius Maximilians University Würzburg. Thesis on magnetic effects of Zn-impurities in the high-temperature superconductors.
