Biography

Christian Bergmann studied law at the Munich Ludwig-Maximilians University (Germany) where he passed the first legal state exam in 1999. Following his studies Christian Bergmann worked as a trainee lawyer in Munich, Brussels (Belgium) and Strasbourg (France), where he focused on European Law. He passed the second legal state exam in 2001 with great distinction.

In 2002 he completed post-graduate studies with main focus on European Business Law at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer and just finished his PhD thesis on European Procedural Law.

Christian Bergmann was admitted to the Munich Bar in 2003. In the early stages of his professional carrier he specialised right from the outset in the field of intellectual property and competition law, advising national and international companies especially in copyright and trademark issues and all questions of European Business Law.

His main practice areas comprise German and European competition and anti-trust law, as well as trademark and copyright law, including litigation.
